ISLAMABAD: Newly elected members of
the National Assembly will take oath on June 1 as a summary will be sent to the
president to convene the session of the lower house of the parliament, sources
said on Monday.
Newly elected MNAs would take oath
on June 1 while nomination papers for the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of
National Assembly would also be submitted. The Speaker and Deputy speaker would
be elected on June 3 while nomination papers for the post of prime minister
would be submitted on June 4.
The new prime minister of Pakistan
would be elected on June 5. Moreover, Provincial Secretary for Law Justice and
Parliamentary Affairs told Geo News that a summary had been sent to governor to
convene the session of Punjab Assembly.
